Champ is new to our foster program. During his initial evaluation this is what was noted...
What a big fuzzy boy! He is truly very sweet and a big goof It is apparent he has had no training. He thought hand on the butt meant butt scratches. He doesn't know what a tennis ball is. He thought it was something he should be interested in, but when thrown, he galumphed after it and then stared at it and then wandered off.
He met a Pitbull while we were out. He wasn't aggressive, but his idea of play is to mount the other dog. It was a male, so not well received. He has no dog social skills and has never been crated.
Champ will need a little work; some basic training and taught boundaries. Given that he has no "doggie manners" it is probably best he go to a home with no other dogs. He is a little too interested in cats, so no cats either. Older children, 14+, would be best given his lack of traininig and energy level.
