Below is the evaluation of Curlyque :  Wonderful bitch. She is sweet and bright. Showed no signs of aggression either with food when eating from bowl, with food treats, or with toys. A real delight. Extremely malnourished. Will send a few more pics. She will bring someone a lot of love. In addition to what I reported about her reaction to the food test . -First, just to clarify a bit the food testing report: Curly Cue showed NO aggression noted at all either when given food in a bowl or by treats, accepted a hand in the food, even my hand taking the bowl away when she was clearly starving. For the record, she seemed to love the food I took, which was some BilJac dry puppy food from a sample bag. Same with squeaky/soft toys - she'd take the toy in her mouth and beginning to play but let me take it back each time with no possessiveness shown.
Now I'd like to mention her reaction to people and other dogs.
We took her into the reception area at the vet where there were already a couple of people, including some elderly folks, seated. She showed only very normal interest, which was quickly redirected back to me. Same reaction with people entering, no problem with strangers- just normal friendly interest.
A wonderful sweetie pie.
Curly Cue is extremely emaciated, so will need some physical fattening up as well as much love as anyone can give her.
Better pix forthcoming
She is currently being boarded in a kennel.  Appointments must be made to meet Curlyque after being approved for adoption.
Update 12-3-12  Met up with Curlycue at the kennel.  She is great with people.  Took her outside as another client was picking up her dog and unknown how Curleycue would interact.  When the small dog came out, she zeroed in on him and we could not distract her with body blocking or high value treats.  She must go to a home who has dealt with a predatory Akita before !!
