Sumo is a young altered male.  He was picked-up as a stray (the sixth time in several months).  He was a shelter staff favorite. 

Sumo is great dog.  There is no aloofness with him, he loves everyone.  He is a stunning Akita, nearly show quality and has a terrific personality.  Sumo enjoys watching Animal Planet, playing with his toys, going for long walks, meeting new people and playing with other friendly dogs.  Sumo knows "sit" and "high five", he also "talks" occassionally, and will have you laughing hystericlaly at his antics.  This stunning boy will win your heart quickly, as he has his foster family. 

Sumo enjoys people so much he gets sad when he is left alone, and sometimes will act out by chewing loose items laying around.  It is best that he is placed in a home with a friendly young female dog that will keep him company.  Sumo is still very "puppy" in his behavior so he is best in a home with children over the age of 8.
