This is Delia, one of a litter of 9 puppies born in the Culpeper County Virginia shelter. Delia's mom, Cora, was picked-up as a stray and gave birth in the shelter. Cora appears to be a purebred Akita. Dad is unknown.
Delia was a little shyer than her brothers and sisters, but has completely come out of her shell. While she can be playful as any other puppy, she is very calm and laid back. This little redhead if fun loving but not a firecracker ! She is very affectionate and partially housebroken at this time ( Sept 17) meaning she goes outside, but has occasional accidents.

Delia was born June 22 and will be available to go to a new home in mid-late September 2007.
