Description:
Sanno means, ‘Mountain King’ and this guy will certainly be a mountain King when he fills out!  His nickname, however, is ‘Snowman’.  He was found a stray and quite filthy.  He was a gentleman at the shelter and continues to be a gentleman.  He was a little too interested in other male dogs, but since being neutered, this should tone down.  He is housebroken and walks well on lead.  Knows what a bedroom is, but hasn’t helped himself to the bed yet.  He would probably do best as an only pet.  He talks to you when you put his lead on for a walk.  He was temporarily placed in a foster home, but their situation changed and he had to leave.  Here is what the foster home said about him in the time that they had him. "he had the house to roam.  When we got home he had done nothing :-)  He did not mess with any of Jasmine's toys - no chewing  - he was a good boy.  When we go to bed he comes upstairs and sleeps in the room with us.  When the door opens he barks to let us know he is there.  He is a very good boy,  and Jasmine and him are doing well...he gets all kind of rubs :-) He is an absolute angel!!!  He talks a lot…..especially when its time to go outside.  He is housebroken in every sense of the way…no accidents – no chewing - nothing!  He did get busted sleeping on the couch J   I got home all the pillows were on the ground …..the next morning..I guess I did not make enough noise…I got down stairs to make our coffee and he was stretched out all over the couch – he was comfortable J  He just raised his head and looked as if to say “ oh its just you” and laid back down and snoozed a bit longer….I whispered for Kevin to come downstairs and we were cracking up J  Sanno & Jasmine are buds J but he did not like it when Jasmine stood next to him when he was eating (even thought she gave him the food) so I explained to Jasmine that he is afraid she may take his food away and to not go near him when he is drinking/eating….I told her that when he was on the streets all alone he may not have had anything to eat so now he protects his food and she is OK J
Even the neighbors love him!  He is getting groomed tomorrow so I hope he will feel like a new pup J One thing that surprised me:  Sanno saw a schoolbus and went “nuts” in an excited way.  He wanted to get to the bus?  I wondered if maybe he remembered picking up the kids from his previous home? He is now enjoying butt rubs and belly rubs!  He is absolutely a special pup!
Jasmine is their 4 yr old daughter.  He also does well with the 5 yr old girl at the kennel.  Bear in mind, these are children who have been around big dogs most of their lives.Let us know if you have room in your home and heart for this gentle giant.
